Overview

The Pull Data node enables you to connect FluxPrompt workflows with Google Services to retrieve data from Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Google Slides. This node provides secure authentication and flexible data extraction options to integrate your Google workspace content into automated workflows.

Google Authentication

Initial Connection

Connect to Google Services for data access:

  • Authentication Required: Must authenticate with Google before accessing data

  • Secure Connection: Uses Google's OAuth system for secure access

  • Permission Grants: Requests necessary permissions to read your Google documents

Authentication Process

When setting up the connection:

  • Database Section: Click the authentication prompt to begin Google login

  • Login Window: A new window opens for Google account authentication

  • Permission Review: Review and grant permissions for data access

  • Account Selection: Choose the appropriate Google account if multiple are available

Refresh Google Connection

Maintain and update your Google connection:

  • Refresh Google Button: Update available documents and refresh authentication

  • Connection Status: Verify connection to Google Services

  • Re-authentication: Reconnect if authentication expires

Data Source Selection

Data Type Options

Choose from three Google services:

  • Google Sheets: Extract data from spreadsheets and workbooks

  • Google Docs: Retrieve content from text documents

  • Google Slides: Access presentation content and slides

Google Sheets Configuration

Spreadsheet Selection

Access and configure Google Sheets data:

  • Select a Spreadsheet: Choose from available Google Sheets in your account

  • Dynamic Loading: Spreadsheets populate after authentication

  • Available Spreadsheets: Shows all spreadsheets accessible in your Google account

Sheet Selection

Navigate within selected spreadsheets:

  • Select a Sheet: Choose specific worksheets within the spreadsheet

  • Multiple Sheets: Access different tabs within the same spreadsheet file

  • Sheet Names: Display actual sheet names from your Google Sheets

Data Range Configuration (Optional)

Define specific data areas for extraction:

  • Select Area Field: Specify cell ranges using A1 notation

  • Example Format: "A1:Z40" for extracting specific cell ranges

  • Flexible Ranges: Extract entire sheets or specific data sections

  • Connection Point: Can receive range specifications from other workflow nodes

Google Docs Configuration

Document Selection

Access Google Docs content:

  • Select Document: Choose from available Google Docs in your account

  • Document List: Shows accessible documents from your Google Drive

Content Extraction Options

Choose how to extract document content:

Full Document

  • Complete Content: Retrieve entire document content

  • All Text: Includes all paragraphs, formatting, and content

Pull Certain Paragraphs

  • Selective Extraction: Extract specific sections of the document

  • Paragraph Range: Define start and end paragraphs for targeted content

  • Custom Selection: Choose exactly which content to retrieve

Paragraph Range Configuration

When using "Pull Certain Paragraphs":

  • Paragraph Start: Specify the starting paragraph number or identifier

  • Paragraph End: Define the ending paragraph for content extraction

  • Connection Points: Can receive paragraph specifications from workflow nodes

Google Slides Configuration

Presentation Selection

Access Google Slides presentations:

  • Select Presentation: Choose from available presentations in your account

  • Presentation Access: Retrieve content from Google Slides files

Slide Selection

Configure which slides to extract:

  • Select Area (Optional): Specify which slides to include

  • Slide Range: Use notation like "[1, 2-5, 8]" to select specific slides

  • Flexible Selection: Choose individual slides, ranges, or combinations

  • Connection Point: Can receive slide specifications from other workflow nodes

Get Data Button

Execute the configured data extraction:

  • Get Data: Retrieve data based on current configuration

  • Processing: Connects to Google Services and extracts specified content

  • Authentication Check: Verifies connection before data retrieval

Retrieved Data

View extracted content in the Output section:

  • Data Preview: Shows retrieved content from Google Services

  • Formatted Display: Presents data in readable format

  • Connection Point: Pass extracted data to other workflow nodes

  • Multiple Formats: Supports text, structured data, and content extraction
