Overview

The Push Data node enables you to send data from FluxPrompt workflows to various Google Services and file storage systems. This node provides secure authentication and flexible data output options to integrate your workflow results with Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Slides, and raw file storage.

Google Authentication

Initial Connection

Connect to Google Services for data access:

  • Database Section: Click "Click here to log into Google so you can access your spreadsheets/docs and put them in workflows"

  • Secure Authentication: Uses Google's OAuth system for secure access

  • Permission Grants: Requests necessary permissions to write data to your Google documents

Refresh Google Connection

Maintain and update your Google connection:

  • Refresh Google Button: Update available documents and refresh authentication

  • Connection Status: Verify connection to Google Services

  • Re-authentication: Reconnect if authentication expires

Data Input

Configure the content to be pushed:

  • Data Field: Input area for content to be sent to Google Services

  • Connection Point: Can receive data from other workflow nodes

  • Multiple Formats: Supports text, structured data, and various content types

  • Dynamic Content: Process workflow-generated data for output

Data Type Selection

Available Services

Choose from four data output destinations:

  • Google Sheets: Send data to spreadsheets and workbooks

  • Google Docs: Push content to text documents

  • Google Slides: Add content to presentations

  • Raw Files: Create and store files directly

Google Sheets Configuration

Folder and Document Selection

Navigate and select your target spreadsheet:

  • Folder: Select the document folder containing your spreadsheet

  • Select a Spreadsheet: Choose from available Google Sheets in your account

  • Available Spreadsheets: Shows all accessible spreadsheets in your Google account

Sheet Configuration

Configure the target sheet within your spreadsheet:

  • Select a Sheet: Choose existing sheets within the spreadsheet

  • Create New Sheet: Option to create a new worksheet

  • New Sheet Name: Specify the name for newly created sheets

Sheet Creation Options

When creating new sheets:

  • Sheet Selection Dropdown: Shows "Create New Sheet" option

  • Name Field: Enter custom name for the new sheet

  • Connection Point: Can receive sheet names from other workflow nodes

Google Docs Configuration

Document Selection

Choose your target Google Doc:

  • Select Document: Choose from available Google Docs in your account

  • Document Access: Shows accessible documents from your Google Drive

Content Placement Options

Configure where content should be inserted:

  • Beginning of Document: Add content at the start of the document

  • End of Document: Append content to the end of the document

  • Start of Document as a New Page: Insert content as a new page at the beginning

  • End of Document as a New Page: Add content as a new page at the end

  • After a Specific Page: Insert content after a designated page number

Page-Specific Insertion

When using "After a specific page":

  • Page Number: Specify the page number after which content should be inserted

  • Flexible Positioning: Place content at precise locations within documents

Google Slides Configuration

Presentation Setup

Configure presentation data insertion:

  • Text Input Section: "Connect data into Google Slides"

  • Settings Configuration: Access presentation-specific options

Configure slide-specific parameters:

  • Presentation ID: Specify the target presentation identifier

  • Append Options: Choose where to add content within the presentation

  • Content Placement: Control how data is integrated into slides

Raw Files Configuration

File Creation

Create and store files directly:

  • File Input Section: "Url" field for file location or content

  • New File Name: Specify the name for the created file

  • File Storage: Direct file creation and storage capabilities

File Management

Control file creation and naming:

  • Custom Names: Define specific file names for created content

  • File Formats: Support for various file types and formats

  • Storage Location: Manage where files are stored

Current Content Display

Content Preview

View and manage current content:

  • Current Content Section: Shows preview of content to be pushed

  • Content Validation: Review data before sending to Google Services

  • Real-time Updates: Dynamic display of workflow-generated content

Data Execution

Push Data Button

Execute the configured data transfer:

  • Push Data: Send data based on current configuration

  • Processing: Transfers content to selected Google Services or file storage

  • Authentication Check: Verifies connection before data transfer

Limitations and Considerations

Shared Drives Restriction

Important limitation to be aware of:

  • Shared Drive Access: The Push Data node cannot update documents and sheets in Google Shared Drives

  • Personal Drive Only: Works exclusively with documents in personal Google Drive accounts

  • Access Scope: Limited to individually owned Google documents
