Overview

The Search Trends node enables you to analyze search engine data and gain insights into public interest over time, regional preferences, related topics, and trending searches. This node provides access to search trend analytics, helping you understand search patterns, popularity changes, and emerging topics across different time periods and geographic regions.

Input Configuration

System Selection

Choose the type of trend analysis to perform:

Trends: Analyze the popularity and trends of specific search queries over time

Trends Now: Access current trending searches and real-time search data

Selection Method: Use the System dropdown to switch between analysis types

Data Focus: Each system provides different types of trend insights

Search Engine Configuration

Search Engine Selection: Choose the search platform for trend analysis

Default Setting: Google is the primary search engine option

Platform Data: Different engines may provide varying trend insights and data availability

Query Configuration

Query Input: Enter the search term or phrase you want to analyze

Input Method: Type keywords in the "Enter query" text field

Search Scope: Treat this as you would a normal search term or phrase

Connection Point: Can receive query terms from other flow nodes

Choose how trend data should be presented:

Interest over time: Track search popularity changes across time periods

Compared breakdown by region: Compare search interest across different geographic regions

Interest by region: Focus on geographic distribution of search interest

Related topics: Discover topics related to your search query

Related queries: Find search terms related to your main query

Category Filtering

Category Selection: Choose specific categories to narrow your search analysis

Available Categories: Wide range of categories including business, entertainment, health, technology, and many others

Filtering Purpose: Focus trend analysis on specific topic areas or industries

Relevance: Select categories that best match your search query context

Image Search: Trends related to image searches for your query

Location Configuration

Location Selection: Choose the geographic location for trend analysis

Default Setting: United States is typically selected by default

Geographic Scope: Select different countries or regions based on your analysis needs

Market Focus: Choose locations relevant to your target market or research area

Time Zone Configuration

Time Zone Setting: Select the appropriate time zone for data analysis

Numeric Format: Time zones displayed in numeric format (e.g., 420 for Pacific Time)

Data Alignment: Ensures trend data aligns with your local time preferences

Regional Consistency: Match time zone with selected location for accurate analysis

Region Specification

Region Type Selection: Choose the level of geographic detail for analysis

Available Options:

  • No region: Analyze without specific regional filtering

  • COUNTRY: Country-level trend analysis

  • REGION: State or regional-level analysis

  • DMA: Designated Market Area analysis for media markets

  • CITY: City-level trend analysis

Granularity Control: Select appropriate geographic granularity for your research needs

Date Range Configuration

Time Period Selection: Choose the timeframe for trend analysis

Available Options:

  • now 1-H: Past 1 hour of real-time data

  • now 4-H: Past 4 hours of real-time data

  • now 1-d: Past 1 day of data

  • now 7-d: Past 7 days of data

  • today 1-m: Past 1 month from today

  • today 3-m: Past 3 months from today

  • today 12-m: Past 12 months from today

  • today 5-y: Past 5 years from today

  • all: All available historical data

Analysis Scope: Choose timeframes that match your research objectives and trend analysis needs

Output Configuration

Trend Results

Data Output: Displays trend analysis results in the Output section

Visualization Data: Results can include charts, graphs, and statistical information

Export Capability: Trend data can be used by other nodes for further analysis

Connection Point: Output data can feed into reporting, analysis, or visualization nodes

Run Prompt Button

Location: Top-right corner of the interface

Function: Initiates the trend analysis based on configured parameters

Processing: Retrieves and processes search trend data according to your settings

Results Display: Trend analysis appears in the output area upon completion
