Ai Video Generator

Create dynamic videos from text prompts, images, and video inputs using advanced AI technology.

Updated over 4 months ago

Overview

The AI Video Generator node enables you to create videos through three distinct methods: converting text descriptions directly into video content, animating static images, or transforming existing videos into new variations. This node integrates seamlessly into FluxPrompt workflows and supports multiple AI models for different video generation needs.

Video Generation Modes

The AI Video Generator offers multiple creation modes to suit different input types and creative needs:

Text to Video

  • Purpose: Generate videos directly from text descriptions

  • Input: Written prompts describing the desired video content

  • Best for: Creating entirely new video content from scratch

Image to Video

  • Purpose: Transform static images into animated videos

  • Input: Starting image plus descriptive prompts

  • Requirements: Start Image field for the base image

  • Best for: Bringing static visuals to life with motion

Video to Video

  • Purpose: Transform existing videos into new variations

  • Input: Starting video, ending video (optional), plus prompts

  • Requirements:

    • Start Image field for the initial video frame

    • End Image field for the final video frame (optional)

  • Best for: Video-to-video transformations and style transfers

Configuration Sections

Prompt Section

The heart of your video creation process begins in the "Prompt" section. The text box displays placeholder text "Connect or type a description of the video you want to generate" - simply type over this placeholder to enter your video description.

  • Direct Input: Type directly into the text box to replace the placeholder text

  • Input Connection: Connect to other workflow nodes for dynamic prompt generation

  • Best Practices: Be as detailed or broad as you like; this input guides the AI in crafting content that aligns with your creative goals

Start Image (Image to Video & Video to Video modes)

When using Image to Video or Video to Video modes, the Start Image section becomes available:

  • URL Input: Enter an image URL (e.g., "https://assets-app.fluxprompt.ai/example.png")

  • Upload Option: Click "Connect or Upload Image" to upload an image directly

  • Connection Point: Input connector for receiving images from other workflow nodes

End Image (Video to Video mode only)

For Video to Video transformations, you can optionally specify an ending frame:

  • URL Input: Enter an ending image URL

  • Upload Option: Click "Connect or Upload Video" to upload a video file

  • Connection Point: Input connector for receiving ending frames from other workflow nodes

  • Purpose: Defines the target appearance for the final frame of the transformation

Advanced Settings

Access advanced configuration options to fine-tune your video generation:

Base Model Selection

Choose from multiple AI models optimized for different video generation tasks:

  • Luma-Labs: Standard model for general video generation

  • Stability: Optimized for stable, consistent video output

  • Runway-ML: Advanced model for creative video transformations

Video Parameters

Aspect Ratio

  • Default: 16:9 (widescreen format)

  • Purpose: Controls the width-to-height ratio of generated videos

  • Options: Customizable to match your project requirements

Loop Setting

  • Toggle Control: Enable or disable video looping

  • Purpose: Creates seamless, repeating animations

  • Best for: Background videos, social media content, or continuous displays

Model-Specific Settings

Stability Model Settings:

  • Seed: Control randomization (0 for random generation)

  • CFG Scale: Guidance strength (1.8 default, controls prompt adherence)

  • Motion: Motion intensity (127 default, controls movement amount)

Runway-ML Model Settings:

  • Duration: Video length in seconds (5 seconds default)

  • Extended Controls: Additional parameters for professional video production

Output Section

The Output section displays your generated videos with comprehensive playback and management features:

  • Video Player: Generated videos appear as an embedded video player with standard playback controls

  • Playback Controls: Play/pause, timeline scrubber, volume control, and fullscreen options

  • Video Duration: Displays current playback time and total video length (e.g., "0:05 / 0:05")

  • Video ID: Each generated video receives a unique identifier displayed below the player (e.g., "Video ID: 5d929679-7f3b-48bd-81ca-cf6a1a58c6fd")

  • Copy Function: "Copy" button allows you to easily copy the Video ID for reference or use in other workflow nodes

  • Connection Point: Output connector for linking generated videos to other workflow nodes

  • Download Access: Access completed videos for download or further processing

Video Creation Process

Step-by-Step Generation

  1. Select Mode: Choose from Text to Video, Image to Video, or Video to Video

  2. Configure Inputs:

    • Enter your prompt description

    • Upload or connect required images/videos for selected mode

  3. Adjust Settings:

    • Select appropriate base model

    • Configure aspect ratio and loop settings

    • Fine-tune advanced parameters if needed

  4. Generate: Click "Create Video" to begin the AI generation process

  5. Review Output: Generated videos appear in the Output section

Token Usage

  • Display: Current token consumption shown at top ("Tokens used: 0")

  • Monitoring: Track resource usage for budget management

  • Efficiency: Optimize settings to balance quality and token consumption

Best Practices and Tips

Prompt Optimization

  • Be Descriptive: Include details about desired actions, scenery, and style

  • Specify Duration: Mention timing for specific actions or transitions

  • Style References: Include artistic styles or visual references

Model Selection Guidelines

  • Luma-Labs: Best for general-purpose video generation with consistent quality

  • Stability: Optimal for videos requiring stable, predictable output

  • Runway-ML: Ideal for creative, experimental, or professional-grade videos

Image Input Requirements

  • Quality: Use high-resolution images for better video quality

  • Format: Ensure images are in standard formats (PNG, JPG)

  • Composition: Consider how static images will translate to motion

Performance Optimization

  • Resolution: Balance video quality with processing time and token usage

  • Duration: Longer videos require more resources and processing time

  • Complexity: Simpler prompts often produce more stable results

Integration Considerations

Workflow Integration

  • Input Connections: Connect prompts, images, and videos from other workflow nodes

  • Output Usage: Generated videos can feed into other processing nodes

  • Batch Processing: Process multiple videos in sequence for efficient workflow automation

File Management

  • Video IDs: Generated videos receive unique identifiers for tracking

  • Reusability: Video IDs enable reprocessing and transformation in subsequent operations

  • Storage: Consider file storage and bandwidth for video outputs
